This date corresponds to the date when the model run was carried out. The first four digigts are the year, then the month and day.
The variable you want to display. Temperature is the potential temperature. The individual velocity components are expressed in the locally rotated curvilinear grid.
| Variable | Description | Units |
| elevation | surface elevation from Earth geoid | meters |
| temperature | potential temperature | degree Celsius |
| salinity | salinity | psu |
| velocity vectors | current vectors | m/s |
| u-velocity | curvilinear u-velocity | m/s |
| v-velocity | curvilinear u-velocity | m/s |
| drifter trajectory | trajectory of a Lagrangian drifter | color represents sigma layer |
For a 3-D dimentional variable this entry defines the depth of the vertical slice in meters. 0 will be the surface and below the surface depth is negative. For a 2-D variable the depth field has no effect.
The day for which the forecast is valid. The format is YYYY-MM-DD. The days listed depend on the choosen bulletin.
